These terms apply to every Paresis Apps app listed on this site and to this website. By installing or using an app, you accept them.

Using the apps

You may use the apps to manage your own farm or a farm you have been given access to. You may not resell them, attempt to break their security, or use them to interfere with anyone else's farm data.

Your account

Each device gets an anonymous identity by default; creating or sharing a farm requires linking a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for who you hand a farm share code to — anyone with that code can join your farm and see and change its data.

Your data

Your farm data stays yours. We store and process it only to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may remove data that is illegal, or that belongs to a farm that has been inactive for 2 years (see the retention section of the Privacy Policy).

Free use and subscriptions

• The apps are free to download, and free to use on a single device offline, with no time limit.
• Syncing a farm across devices is free while the total head count across all farms you own stays at or below 200.
• Above that, syncing requires a monthly subscription that scales with herd size. There is a 20-head grace allowance above each limit before syncing pauses, and you are notified in the app before it does.
• If syncing pauses, nothing is deleted. Your data stays on your device and on our servers, and syncing resumes as soon as you are on a suitable plan.

Payment, renewal and cancellation

All subscriptions are sold and billed through Google Play. They renew automatically each month until cancelled. Manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions — cancelling stops future renewals and keeps access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.

Reducing your herd size does not automatically move you to a cheaper plan; you must change the plan yourself in Google Play.

Prices

We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers are given notice through Google Play before a change takes effect, and can cancel rather than accept it.

Accuracy of the apps

The apps help you record and calculate things like head counts, camp areas and stocking rates. Those figures depend on what you enter and on the accuracy of your device's GPS and the underlying map data. Check anything you rely on for a real decision. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is not a survey record — it does not establish legal boundaries or land ownership.

Availability

The apps work offline by design. Syncing and push notifications depend on internet access and on third-party services (Google Firebase, Google Play, OpenStreetMap), so we cannot guarantee they are always available. Keep your own backups of anything critical.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The apps are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost livestock, lost data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the apps. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Ending your use

You may stop using the apps at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the date above is updated and the change is announced in the app. Continuing to use the apps after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia.
